Good Product!
I love this product. Having children that crawl and play on the floor it's nice to feel that you are not exposing them to abrasive cleaners with bad chemicals.
I have not noticed any difference in performance between this and the hoover carpet shampoos. Before starting up the steam cleaner, I do recommend mixing a stronger solution in a glass and apply it as a spot treatment with a dish washing brush. Makes the process faster and easier.

Works great
This product works as good as other carpet cleaner except that I feel a lot better knowing that it does not have any teflon or harsh chemicals in it.

Soft Fluffy Carpets
Earth Friendly Carpet Shampoo is not highly scented and has a delicate scent you could enhance with your own essential oils. I used this in a Dirt Devil Easy Steamer Deluxe carpet cleaner and there was no problem with foaming and this product worked very effectively to dissolve dirt and to remove stains.

This would be perfect for smaller carpet cleaners too and the solution can be used in hot or cold steam machines. The 40:1 Dilution Ratio makes this economical and one bottle of shampoo will clean up to eight average-sized rooms.

Worked when other cleaners didn't
One day, I decided to tackle all the small stains on the carpet in our eating area... which not-so-surprisingly fell victim to the millions of things that have graced our plates. NONE of the cleaners I had worked and then, I saw a bottle of scotchgard oxy that someone must have left behind because I don't recall ever buying it. And it worked! I was so excited, I went around the carpet searching for stains (some of which had been there several years), just to delight in how great this thing worked. I haven't used it since, but I am certainly glad to have it just in case.

smell is ick !!!
This stuff may leave the carpet clean, but your clean carpet will smell very bad - and the smell lingers - for at least days, or longer. The odor never left my car carpet (I kept spraying with lots of febreeze to mask it).

Who cares if something is clean if the cleaner leaves a very strong and putrid odor that doesn't dissipate for days?

So, in the end, this is a product that I will continue to purchase, since it does a reasonable job of addressing carpet problems.

Sometimes, with pets, you end up with stains on carpets. I have used this product to combat such problems.

Overall, the results have been satisfactory. It does not, of course, remove all stains, but it has generally improved the appearance of the carpets.
